Brooklyn Owl started in the imagination of my two-year-old daughter, and has since grown into a brand of fun, hand-crafted New York City-inspired hair clips, headbands, accessories, decor and more!

Initially, I set out to make hair clips that my daughter would enjoy wearing. Living in Brooklyn, our outings often take us to the zoo, the aquarium and various museums. These adventures have inspired the whimsical characters I create. My daughter’s favorite animal at the Prospect Park Zoo is the owl. One evening, after a zoo visit, I crafted an owl hair clip, which immediately became her favorite. After a trip to the aquarium, she asked me to make a sea horse, and “Coney” was born. Since then the Brooklyn Owl menagerie has grown to include a variety of characters and one of a kind creations.

Everything at Brooklyn Owl is hand-cut and carefully stitched by me. I use only the finest quality felt.
